WHAT VIDEO EDITING SERVICES DO YOU OFFER THAT I CANNOT DO MYSELF?
This was a direct question I received from a client during a conversation, and it really rang true for me as to providing this information for my clients. Yes, what services do you provide that I can’t do myself? Great question!
Video editing programs are very accessible now, and many people harness the magic of creating wonderful videos from footage they have shot. It is magical, and meaningful to see your footage tell a story of something that is important to you.
So what do I bring to the table for your video - a college recruiting video - to help your child move to the next level of competition. This is a serious opportunity, and we all want to make a great impression the first time. As a parent who has had two of our children play their sport at high collegiate levels, we have gone through the recruiting process with them. I get it! I bring the knowledge of what worked for our kids in identifying schools they would love to be at, study at, and play their sport at - even if they became injured and were not able to play - which does happen!
Secondly, I have edited hundreds of recruiting videos for mainly volleyball and baseball (the two sports our children played), and other sports and artistic pursuits where auditions are required. I am also a video producer/editor, and have been producing business, education and non-profit programs since 1985 - so know my way around the edit system pretty well (IMHO).
So what do I offer to support you and your player?
Information gathering coordination
Time savings
Concise editing and working through difficult transitions
Graphic animation drawing the viewer’s eyes to your athlete
Quick turnaround - usually a week or less
Upload to YouTube, and optimization of settings there to help search engines
I can send you a video file if you would like a copy
Backup of your video for possible updates
Great service - how I would want to be treated!
A recruiting video is a great tool for opening doors and starting conversations with coaches.
